Melia (she/her/hers) brings 5+ years of varying experience throughout the sector including development, marketing, and events. She aspires to bring communities together through shared storytelling and empathetic listening.

Before working at Brightspot, Melia worked at 317 Main Community Music Center as Marketing & Communications Manager as well as serving on the DEIA Task Force and leader of the DEIA Media Club.

Melia is a part of the Maine Association of Nonprofit’s Emerging Leaders Class of 2022, served on the Reproductive Rights Book Club Committee at Planned Parenthood New England, and also works with I’m Your Neighbor Books in Portland, Maine.

Melia is a certified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®).

Education: B.A., Art History with Arts Administration and Business double minor, Skidmore College

When not working: Melia enjoys reading, geocaching, board games, cooking good food, and adventuring through Maine.
